Risa is the Administrator of SKT’s California office. She brings more than 40 years of experience and integrity to the overall administration and daily operations of SKT.
Risa’s career has allowed her to work for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in areas of the law including business litigation, civil rights, commercial vehicle/motor carrier, criminal, entity formation, IP, mass tort, medical malpractice, PI, premises liability, product liability, trademark, transportation, and wage & hour matters.
Experience in Litigation, Accounting, & Management
Risa began her legal career as a word processor. After becoming a legal secretary, she put herself through paralegal school and earned her ABA Paralegal Certification. As her career in legal continued to evolve, she took courses in accounting and finance under the tutelage of a CPA. Risa advanced to the level of Controller to oversee the financial management of law firms, with a particular emphasis on and proficiency in client-trust accounting.
Risa also has extensive expertise in all aspects of discovery and pre-trial preparation and has been directly engaged in taking more than 100 cases to trial. She is intimate with the day-to-day operations of law firms, case management, and cost-effective methods to invoke on behalf of firm clients.
