Before joining SKT, Maren focused on investigations and enforcement defense as a partner at an Orange County firm. She also gained significant client-side experience as a compliance professional at a nationally ranked university.
Maren has litigated numerous disputes in federal and state courts, including securities class action, qui tam, and False Claims Act matters.
Deep Understanding of Compliance & Employment Law
Maren has handled numerous cases that involved federal agencies and regulatory bodies, as well as congressional committees, state agencies, and local law enforcement authorities in California, New York, and Florida.
She supports officers and shareholders at companies and organizations who are seeking counsel on matters related to compliance, governance, investigations, labor and employment, insurance, and litigation.
Education & Experience
Maren graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis, and earned her J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School.
Maren was a public school teacher in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., before she became an attorney. She has continued to educate students as a guest lecturer at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law, and at Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business.
