Evelyn primarily focuses on business and investment immigration, and she particularly enjoys partnering with companies, developers and projects that are creating social and economic benefits in the US.
She has extensive experience representing small, mid-sized, and large Fortune 500 companies in IT, chemical, eCommerce, and other trade/business sectors. Evelyn has also worked on projects involving hospitals, healthcare facilities, entertainment companies, non-profits, and religious organizations, all of which benefit the US in numerous ways.
Navigating the Immigration Landscape
Evelyn’s in-depth knowledge of all types of business immigration makes her one of the few attorneys who represents both individual EB-5 investors and regional centers/project developers on all aspects of the EB-5 investment visa program.
Evelyn works with business plan writers, economists, and securities attorneys to design and structure EB-5 corporate and financing models and create new EB-5 project templates for clients. She also advises on regional center creation and operations in compliance with EB-5 program.
Evelyn has filed over a thousand employment-based immigrant visas (EB-1, PERM based EB-2/EB-3, and NIW) and non-immigrant visas (E-2, H-1B, J-1, K-1, L-1, O-1, R-1, and TN) to date. She frequently advises her corporate clients about the immigration consequences of location change, mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, employer sanctions, and immigration law audits including labor condition applications and I-9 verification.
Education & Experience
Evelyn earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was named to the Dean’s List. She earned her J.D. from Chapman University School of Law, where she was recognized as a three-time CALI award winner.
Evelyn is a well-regarded speaker on immigration law and is licensed to practice law in California and the District of Columbia. She is fluent in English and Korean, and she is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Orange County Korean American Bar Association.
